RSPCA WORCESTER & MID -WORCESTERSHIRE BRANCH
OUR FUTURE PLANS
In 2011 the RSPCA Worcester & Mid-Worcestershire Branch will be 100 years old. The plan of the Trustees is to have our own small branch animal home up & running by that date.
We hope to start with 10 dog kennels, 10 cat pens and accommodation for 10 small animals. The animal home will be extended as and when fundraising allows.
The branch is totally self-financed. We are a separate charity and have to raise all funds locally to help animals within our branch area, which covers Worcester, Malvern, Upton, Pershore, Droitwich, Bromsgrove, Droitwich, Redditch and surrounding areas.
A separate “Animal Home Project” account has been set up by the branch trustees, specifically to achieve our aim.
The first stage of the project will be to purchase a suitable property within the branch area, with a house for the manager and enough land, on which we can obtain planning permission for the dog kennels and cat pens. This would obviously have to be well away from neighbouring properties.
The second stage would be to erect the 10 dog kennels, 10 cat pens and accommodation for 10 small animals, together with isolation facilities, reception area, and dog exercise area.
We would continue our capital appeal and expand when funds allow us to do so.
If you wish to be involved in our project, have fundraising ideas or wish to donate to the “Animal Home Project” account, please send to:
The Worcester & Mid-Worcestershire Branch of the RSPCA, Branch Animal Home Project 12 Sansome Place, Worcester WR1 1UA.
The trustees are all volunteers and give all their time freely. We need your support to achieve our goal.
We will give details of all our fundraising events and give regular updates on the project on this page.
Thank you.
Please call Geraldine on 01886 822083 for more information.
If for any reason the project cannot proceed, or there are surplus funds left over once the centre is built, we will put all the monies raised towards ouR general animal welfare work. |
